Seussical

A fantastical feast for the senses, Seussical transports the audience from the Jungle of Nool, to the tiny planet of Who on a journey of raucous laughter and magical musical numbers. It is by no means a small feat to undertake the creatively complex task of capturing the ever-enthralling world of Dr. Seuss and his wondrous stories. The Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the elephant that hears the Who people calling for help on a small speck of dust and embarks on a mission to rescue them, despite being mercilessly mocked by the Sour Kangaroo and rest of the jungle citizens. The only people who believe in him are Gertrude McFuzz, his admiring and loving neighbor, and the sassy and beautiful Mayzie LaBird. At the same time, Jojo, a young child, is struggling to understand how he fits into the Universe and how he can be himself and use his “thinks” without getting in trouble.

This version of Seussical will be a little different from others you have experienced. Absurd, magical, and infused with comedy. Using the Cat in the Hat and two of his assistants as storytellers, the story will be told in a unique way. Using improv, audience participation, choreography, movement, devised and immersive theatre, the audience will become part of the story in a very different way
