About
Doug Sturdivant
is a North Carolina native and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in English. He was awarded a certificate in Latin from CUNY and a certificate in Directing from Yale School of Drama. He has also interned with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Doug taught English and Drama for over 30 years in Raleigh, NC to middle and high school students and adults.
He has directed multiple shows. Among his favorites are Damn Yankees, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Miracle Worker, The Comedy of Errors, Starmites, and Love Letters.
Doug’s reviews also appear in the Facebook Group “Where The Drama Is” and FYI50plus.com. When not at the theater, Doug enjoys reading and watching movies with at least two of his four cats in his lap.
