Same Time, Next Year

Same Time, Next Year, by Bernard Slade, will be presented by Theatre Frisco November 4 – 17.

This classic comedy tells the story of George and Doris, who are married to others, but meet

once a year for a romantic interlude. We follow them over a 25 year span as they play out

changes in society and morals. Many will remember the movie version starring Aland Alda and

Ellen Burstyn.

Theatre Frisco’s production is directed by M. Shane Hurst and feature acting veterans Alex Rain

as George and Amanda Carson Green as Doris. This will be quite a change of characters for

Rain, who Frisco patrons saw him as the outrageous ‘Nostradamus’ in Theatre Frisco’s

production of Something Rotten. Green will be returning to Frisco having last been seen on the

Theatre Frisco stage as Lenny in Crimes of the Heart.

Same Time, Next Year will be performed in the intimate Black Box Theater at Frisco Discovery

Center on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays with both matinees and evening performances
