A poor cobbler has broken his arm and can no longer make his beautiful shoes. If the rent isn't paid immediately, the landlord will evict him and his wife. However, instead of selling their last pair of shoes, the poor yet generous couple give them away to a needy beggar woman. That night, they go to bed weary, worried, and penniless. Suddenly, a troupe of elves appear, singing and dancing, and revive the cobbler's work.
