Nine-year-old Mila Vincent, Dallas' youngest theater critic, co-reviews with her grandmother, Johannah Luza so that you can get the opinion of both a kid and a grandparent taking a kid to a show. This time, Mila and her grandmother were both delighted to discover Never Land on their very first time seeing Peter Pan. Adding to the fun, Mila had her sister, Avivah, 6, too, along for this magical journey. Here are their thoughts.

Mila: I got to see Peter Pan on the second night of Hanukkah with Nancy Churnin and my sister and grandma. My sister Avivah and I had never seen it before. This was Peter Pan in modern times and there were some really funny parts. We loved watching Peter Pan fly!  He was played by Jonah Barricklo, who was the understudy for the main character.  That means he had to learn the whole play in case the main actor got sick or something. This was his national tour debut and he was a great Peter Pan.  Can you imagine being an understudy and not getting to play the part? I can't!

We loved the songs, especially "I Won't Grow Up."  Peter Pan meets Wendy and her brothers when he flies into their room looking for his shadow. I loved that part of the story because who loses their shadow?  Captain Hook (Cody Garcia) was mean but he was funny, too. I really liked his songs. No matter what age you are, you will love this show. My little sister is only six and she watched every second of it and my grandma is a LOT older and loved it too! So did Nancy!  Even if you've seen Peter Pan before, you should see the Broadway play at Fair Park.   You might even get some fairy dust on you at the end!

Johannah:  I was so impressed with how well the understudy did. He was amazing. The set, the colors, the technology, and everything was just perfect. I liked the fact that this production was set in modern times, making it easier to relate to for the kids. When a six-year-old doesn't take his or her eyes off the stage, you know it's a great production.  Take your family to see it while it's here. You'll leave with a smile on your face.
